So much going on and so little time to blog

The year has been so busy already and when that happens you know it is going to be a big year.

First of all I enjoyed a wonderful family holiday over Christmas and New Year on board the beautiful cruise ship Celebrity Solstice. Now that is what I call a holiday.

We got home with enough time to wash and iron to then jump on board the Diamond Princess. This time is was a working trip.

I was teaching along side the very talented Sue Spargo and Silvia Pippin. It was fabulous. Because we were only teaching the days we were at see we had plenty of time to see the beautiful sights of New Zealand.

An early morning rise saw us cruising into Milford sound. It was breath takingly beautiful.

A fun day at the castle in Dunedin

A day out in the Limo. Murray our chaufeur was just the best he took us everywhere we wanted to go. He even took us to all the patchwork shops we wanted to see.

Once we got home it was back to work.

First up was a shop owner retreat.

It was wonderful combining all the Busyfingers stuff with the beautiful fabrics from Riley Blake Designs.

Techniques were learnt and samples were made and food was consumed. It was such a great weekend.

The weather was beautiful.

They achieved so much over the 3 days.

Some of these girls had to travel long distances and through flood affected areas just to get here.

I think they all agreed it was worth the trip.

Tonight as I type this blog I have another house full of shop owners all tucked up in bed ready for their big weekend.

I will be back with photos of their achievements soon.
