I have had a wonderful fortnight, spending some time on board Ovation of the Seas cruising and teaching at Craft Fair at Sea. It was a lot of fun and everyone made great progress on some of my favourite projects. Back to reality now!
I hope you are enjoying the Sew Along so far. I’m seeing some great progress on Instagram.
This week we are adding an incomplete ring to the edge of 5 our our blocks. I have used a combination of cream low volume fabrics.
To get started you will need your Sue Daley Sewline Glue Pen, Milliners Needles, Rotating Mat, Superior Bottom Line Thread and 3/4″ Hexagon papers and acrylic template. All of these supplies can be purchased through your favourite Sue Daley Stockist. If you are just joining in, my first Rose of Kaleigh blog post has the full requirements list and link to a grid layout of the quilt. You can view this here.
From the cream low volume fabrics:
90 – 3/4″ Hexagons
Using my glue pen method, prepare your shapes. Join 18 hexagons in sets of 3 around your remaining 5 flower blocks. If you are new to EPP, you can download a set of my instructions here, or visit my youtube channel to watch my tutorials.
If you are posting any pictures on Instagram please tag me (@suedaleydesigns) and use the #roseofkaleighsal hashtag so I can see all of your work!
Enjoy the rest of your week.
