Paper Lanterns Sew Along Week Fourteen

Week 14 and we’re well over the half way mark! I am continuously blown away by the progress many of you are making with your Paper Lanterns Sew-along, I’ve even seen a few finished quilt tops this past week! I’m still sewing along with you all and loving watching this quilt come together.

I’m heading off for a few days away and looking forward to catching up on my crochet and also working on a few blocks for my new This Goes with That BOM which starts early August. We have less then 10 spots left. I’ll share a little of what I’m up to over on my Instagram for those who follow me over there.

Week-9---Diagrams-04

Make 5

Hint: To cut the basket bases I cut strips the width of the 2″ half hexagons ensuring the template is facing the correct direction evert time so the scallop design in the fabric are over-arches.

Hint: When fussy-cutting the white floral fabric for the 2″ half hexagons I have laid out the templates like the image below to get the most repeats. You could, however, need to cut strips between the 2 templates and then cut your half hexagons out.
